Who We Are
The Pennsylvania Furniture Mission is a 501(c)3 non-profit serving Pennsylvania residents experiencing challenges related to living near or below the poverty line. We work to redirect gently-used, donated furniture to families in need, keeping usable furniture out of our landfills.
What We Do
We are dedicated to creating warm and welcoming homes for all Pennsylvania residents by providing free gently-used furniture to families and individuals in need. Pennsylvania Furniture Mission also seeks to create a more sustainable environment, and simultaneously allows clients to select their own furnishings.

Mission
Our mission is to create warm and welcoming homes across South Central Pennsylvania for families and individuals experiencing economic hardship or exiting homelessness, by providing an entire household of free gently-used furniture.
Vision
Our vision is that no child in South Central PA will sleep on a cold floor, no family will eat off their laps, and every home will have a light to stave off the darkness.

We honor the dignity and worth of every person, and recognize that having a safe, warm, and welcoming place to call home is essential to living a healthy life.
Compassion
We understand that people come from all walks of life and acknowledge and that together we can rise above the challenges of poverty.
Diversity
We respect and value the diversity of Pennsylvania residents and celebrate every person. We encourage our team members and clients alike to share their stories with each other and in the community.
Sustainability
We believe that we can and should reduce our state’s carbon footprint. With donor support, we enable the greater PA region to divert good, quality furniture to families and individuals experiencing hardships.
We are committed to each individual that walks through our doors, to give them a hand-up that empowers them to reach their goals.
Giving Back To Our Community
Every piece of furniture we give away is an item donated and saved from a landfill. Together with your donations and genersoity, we not only help those facing poverty thrive, but also do our small part to building a more sustainable lifestyle in South Central Pennsylvania.
